L’Equipement des Arts was launched in 2007 by art dealers Michael Mohammed, David de Kervern and Andrew McIntosh Patrick, formerly managing director of The Fine Art Society, and The venture presents a vast selection of 20th and 21st century decorative work, fine paintings modern art and designs that can be appreciated in a variety of contexts both by the specialist collector and the casual but intrigued private buyer.

In 2008, L’Equipement des Arts unveiled the Contemporary Art and Design arm of the gallery, and the Directors have thrown their collective experience and support behind a group of dynamic, exciting and emerging talents of the Design-Art world. L’Equipement des Arts work to create “Art-forms” rather than designs producing sculpture, installation and concept art that is stunning, mischievous and seductive.
L’Equipement des Arts is based in London and Paris and can be described as a conceptual lifestyle gallery, merging and blurring the perceived boundaries between art, entertainment, and technology. We aim to create art-events which celebrate art and design as informal and engaging, as entertainment that contributes to a complete modern lifestyle”.  We have an on series of Gallery Installations which allows us to inhabit a space and transform it with Art.

The Directors of L’Equipement des Arts share a home in London at 55 Great Cumberland Place,   which doubles as gallery and they have other galleries, homes and flats in France and Morocco.
